Spain, rich and lush
with soils,
and painted pottery lining
brick cobblestone streets.
puffs of dust rise as the man
with the caramel skin
races his horse,
shouting foreign words
that sound like spices:
cinnamon,
clove,
nutmeg.
As the bandit flees,
the worn leather boots squeak.
desert sand stings his eyes,
clay mucks up his steps.

I love the feelings your poetry gives off. Reading your poetry is like watching a movie, or a small scene or artsy vignette, but instead of seeing it with your eyes, you can see it through words. That's how gorgeous your imagery is. Wonderful work!
